KHAIRIL M. BAHAR - Director, Writer

Born in the Philippines and brought up in England, Khairil M. Bahar made his name in the local film industry with his debut feature length film Ciplak which he wrote, directed, edited and starred in and made with a budget of only RM10,000 which went on to win the Anugerah Skrin award for best alternative film in 2006 and screened at the Boulder Asian film festival in Denver, Colorado.

Since then, Khairil has directed a number of television series’ such as Dark City for Astro Ria, Ampang Medikal for NTV7 and Ghost season 2 for 8TV as well as writing and directing a number of acclaimed short films including Healthy Paranoia, part of the 15Malaysia project.

This year Khairil has also been involved in the local theatre scene, performing in Lost and Found directed by Joe Hasham and Gavin Yap, Life Sdn Bhd 6: Abuse directed by Faridah Merican and he is currently directing a play in the Bars & Bedrooms anthology together with three other directors which will be opening at the Actors Studio in May.

BAHIR YEUSUFF - Producer

Bahir Yeusuff has produced 3 feature length films, most recently The Joshua Tapes, as well as several online advertisements for Grey Worldwide’s online initiative, G2 Interactive. Along with his directing partner, Lim Benji, Bahir was also chosen as one of the filmmakers for the 15Malaysia project in 2009 which won numerous awards around the world. Their short film, Meter, featured UMNO Youth President Khairy Jamaluddin, Malaysian personalities Jason Lo and Amber Chia, as well as actor Baki Zainal

Since then he has also produced some very high profile videos, beginning with the corporate/launch video for the Teach For Malaysia initiative, as well as a 3 minute tv spot for General Electric and the ASEAN Basketball League that was aired on ESPN Asia. He is currently involved in a video project for the government initiative, PEMANDU.
